EVENTS

Operation SafeHouse officially commemorated the opening of its Thousand Palms shelter, SafeHouse of the Desert with a special grand opening celebration on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 5pm - 7pm. The evening event included tours of the facility, an unveiling of our Donor Recognition Wall and plenty of refreshments. Thank you to all who attended!

at the Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade

On October 28th, 2007 SafeHouse participated in the Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade. Our cart was decorated and sponsored by the Kart Connection in Indio. We would like to thank everyone who voted for Dr. Lisa Lindley, M.D. and her partner James Everly at the "Dancing with Our Stars" event held on November 3, 2007 at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa in Indian Wells. Lisa and her partner did a wonderful job considering they only had a few weeks to learn their routine. Great job Lisa you get 10's all around.

The Junior League of Palm Springs Desert Communities has chosen SafeHouse of the Desert as their "Signature Project" we are so proud to be associated with this long standing organization in the Coachella Valley. Their support has been invaluable while we have been working to establish our shelter in the desert. Thanks Junior League!!!

WoW - 2008  was held at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage on March 31, 2008. This year's event was even larger than last year. Thank you so much to Doctor Lindley and Doctor Brossfiled, Randi Desnoes, and Mary Ann Cullens for making this day such a huge success. We could not do it without you.
